HKS Gauges
With recent advances in technology, accuracy between well-made mechanical and electronic gauges in now near identical unlike several years ago. However, with HKS gauges, the electronic types are desirable over mechanical for the following reasons:
1. 'On Face' selection of 'peak hold' which shows the highest reading recorded.
2. 'On Face' setting of warning LED's which light up in succession when user-set point is approaching.
3. The ability to be connected to data logging systems.
4. The ability to be connected 'daisy chain' to other HKS electronic meters, showing peak hold on all when selected by only one.
5. Self diagnostic function which automatically sweeps the needle over the full scale when powered up. (Very impressive when several gauges are side by side!)
HKS gauges are renouned for being the most accurate, easy to read and well made units in the world. Various types are available but we have listed the most popular here. Most mechanical types can be supplied in 46 or 60mm diameters (only electronic types are available in 60mm). Dispays can be white background with black numbers, dark blue background with white numbers or grey background with red graduation and black numbers. All gauges appear to have a black background with backlight on. Below is a selection of the most popular types. Many others are available, including 46mm 0 to 10 bar pressure and 0 to 150 degC temperature.

Mechanical Boost Meters. Far left shows 46mm diameter, left shows 60mm diameter. These are available in both 46 (£85.00) and 60mm (£85.00) diameters. Needle control is the best we have seen for a mechanical gauge. Not as popular as you would think as most of our customers fit the HKS EVC-4 electronic boost control system, which has an on-board LCD display showing real time boost pressure. HKS have introduced their range of 52 and 60mm 'Direct Bright' meters. These meters are illuminated with unique blue LED's and can be bought with either rear illuminaton with white background or reversed as font illumination, which gives a black background. All gauges are mechanical.
